Rawdat Al Ma'aref Schools and College Include the School’s Students in the Cancer Care Insurance
Amman, September 22, 2020 - The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed an agreement with Rawdat Al Ma'aref Schools and College, according to which all the school’s students of all age groups will be included in the Cancer Care Insurance, which covers cancer treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC).
The agreement was signed by Ms. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, and Mrs. Wafaa Shunnar, Director General of Rawdat Al Ma'aref Schools and College.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish expressed her gratitude to the school, represented by its generous administration, and saluted their desire to enroll their students in the insurance, pointing to the need to make health a top priority, and said: “We appreciate the school’s awareness in being responsible about cancer, bearing in mind that insurance is not limited to coverage in the event of a diagnosis, God forbid, but it carries a great humane aspect as well. Subscription fees are allocated towards covering the treatment costs of other subscribers with cancer, which contributes to instilling the spirit of giving in students and their parents”.
Mrs. Wafa Al Shunnar stated: “Based on our educational mission and willingness to spread awareness among students and integrate the values of solidarity, it was essential for our societal responsibility to involve our students in the KHCF’s Cancer Care Insurance, which will a deepen their feelings regarding the importance of their duty towards society, no matter how small, and that by uniting, we can accomplish the desired change. We also realize the importance of this program in securing treatment coverage for the subscriber in the event of a diagnosis, God forbid. We at Rawdat Al Ma'aref Schools and College, have always been motivated and driven by fully integrating our students”.
It is worth mentioning that the KHCF established the Cancer Care Insurance with the aim of giving subscribers -in case of diagnosed with cancer- the opportunity to receive treatment exclusively at KHCC, with moderate subscription fees. The insurance also provides its subscribers with other services such as free annual clinical examination, and discounts on laboratory tests and x-rays for insured individuals who are not diagnosed with cancer.
