Jordan Kuwait Bank Supports KHCF’s University Scholarship Program
Amman, September 2020 - In order to support education, youths, and cancer patients in particular, the Jordan Kuwait Bank provided support for the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s (KHCF) University Scholarship Program, which is designed to cover university education costs for high school (Tawjihi) graduates at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). The support provided by the bank will cover part of the university and vocational training center fees for 20 students.
This support comes from the bank to reinforce the efforts of the KHCF and KHCC in providing comprehensive care for patients receiving treatment at the center, which is not limited to medical care, but includes psychological and academic care as well. This contributes to enhancing their self-confidence and helps them practice normal daily activities, without disease standing in their way.
Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General of the KHCF, visited the Jordan Kuwait Bank in appreciation of its fruitful cooperation and faith in the KHCF and KHCC’s mission, confirming that this donation will help students achieve success and build the future they aspire to, calling for all sectors to unite and follow suit in contributing to the support of cancer patients.
For his part, Mr. Samih Al Battikhi, Head of Retail and Private Banking at Jordan Kuwait Bank, indicated that supporting the KHCC is one of their main social responsibility initiatives, which requires them to assist both the health, and education sectors, while supporting youths, and young patients in particular by providing them with a healthy educational environment during their treatment period.
